The project trains teachers and
students on health, HIV / AIDS, human rights issues and prevention of violence
by making use of intercultural communication and radio production.
Joint action between young radio correspondents and teachers has enabled:

HIV / AIDS, gender equity and violence topics in the teaching practice in rural
schools.
- Established
a greater trust relationship between teachers and their students and a better
understanding and mainstreaming of youth topics in pedagogical practice.
- Greater
participation of different actors (students, parents, authorities and local
leaders and residents of communities) in dealing with the issue of violence and
HIV / AIDS.
- Involvement
of 120 teachers, 1200 students and 56 young correspondents of 24 educational
institutions in this project.
Through our Welcome
Health program it has been possible:
- Better information on the relationship between
violence and HIV / AIDS for the female and male audience, as well as for young
people and adults in rural communities.
